All Exams are administered by the Illinois Department of Agriculture and are remotely proctored. A proctoring service fee is required for each exam attempt. It is recommended (but not required) to schedule exam sessions at least 72 hours in advance.

Aplicador Privado - Capacitación - Spanish Language Only

Private Applicator - Exam

The Private Applicator Exam is required to become a licensed Private Applicator with the ability to purchase or apply Restricted Use Pesticides (RUPs) to produce an agricultural commodity on property they own or control. It is administered by the Illinois Department of Agriculture. The exam consists of 50 multiple-choice questions and requires a minimum passing score of 70% or greater.

Exam Time Limit: 3 hours

Exam Available: Oct. 1, 2024 - Aug. 31, 2025

Exam Fee: $12 per attempt proctor fee

Private Applicator - Training

This course is intended to help Private Pesticide Applicators prepare for the Private Applicator certification exam. In addition, this course contains optional training material to help Private Applicators prepare for the Private Grain Fumigation Exam. Private Grain Fumigation - Exam

The Private Grain Fumigation Exam is required for a licensed Private Applicator to fumigate grain on property they own or control. It is administered by the Illinois Department of Agriculture. The exam consists of 50 multiple-choice questions and requires a minimum passing score of 70% or greater.
