This course is specific for food handlers working in a non-restaurant food establishment in Illinois, such as a nursing home, licensed day care, hospital, school, long-term facility, or retail food store. Food handler training must be renewed every three years, and it is not transferable between employers.
The course is NOT approved for employees working in restaurants. It is also not intended for someone who already has a valid Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) certificate.
